Release Pirlo: The one with fonts in viz

Much like the man himself, Release Pirlo is a short but aesthetically pleasing one.

The majority of time in this release has been spent on some foundational work for several exciting features that’ll be coming in 2024.

However, there has been one, long requested, feature we’re excited to announce; the addition of custom fonts within visualisations.

Visualisations

• Custom Fonts in Viz – you can now add brand fonts to be used for any text within visualisations, for example keys, headers, player names and stat titles.

Internationalisation

• We have continued to work on updating our translations and making sure newer features are available in other languages. As such, the Match Centre is now available in German (Opta), Brazilian Portuguese (Wyscout), Italian (Wyscout) and Spanish (Wyscout).
  
  
• As a reminder, the Toolbox is currently available in the following languages:
  • English
  • Spanish
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Dutch
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Norwegian

Match Centre

• Changed formations visualisation behaviour so that when only one team is selected, the players will spread out to fill the full length of the pitch.
  
  
• Added the option for templates to be able to export pitch visualisations vertically as well as horizontally.
  
  
• Added a maximum width for content to stop the export button on the Visualisations tab from experiencing issues on larger screens.

Other

• Various other smaller bug fixes and performance improvements.
