Twenty3 integrates IMPECT data into its Toolbox Product

Twenty3 are delighted to announce a new data integration with leading football data provider IMPECT

The arrangement has seen Twenty3 ingest IMPECT data within our extensive Sports Data Platform, providing accessibility across the entire Twenty3 Toolbox, including popular reporting and visualisation features.

This includes IMPECT’s highly unique Packing® data, which offers deeper insight into performance by considering contextual criteria such as the number of players between the ball and goal, and how much pressure a player is under.

IMPECT and their ‘from football, for football’ philosophy is the brainchild of co-founders and ex-professional footballers, Jens Hegeler and Stefan Reinartz, who wanted to promote a more precise, meaningful approach to analysis in the world of football. The company has gained a strong foothold in the professional club market, through their innovative suite of advanced, meaningful metrics, such as the aforementioned Packing® data.

With access to Twenty3’s full suite of tools, users will be able to compare, rank, analyse, report on, and of course, visualise player and team performance across IMPECT’s event data set.

The integration of another prominent football data collection business means that Twenty3 are able to bring even further choice and accessibility options to football clubs, enabling them to utilise their preferred data in ways that work best for them.

Twenty3’s Co-CEO, Simon McMillan, shared his thoughts on the partnership:

“IMPECT has created a real buzz in the industry with the quality and functionality of their data offering. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to integrate IMPECT into the Twenty3 Toolbox and that we already have a number of forward-thinking clubs benefiting from the combination of IMPECT’s data and Twenty’s user-centric tools.”

Meanwhile, IMPECT’s Head of English Football Operations, Robert Rogers, had his say:

“We are excited and proud to be able to collaborate with such an innovative company like Twenty3. Their like-minded approach of adding context to data and understanding the need to collaborate to provide the best service to the user has led to a strong synergistic partnership. Bringing the IMPECT data to life within the Twenty3 Toolbox can elevate a club to the next level in its use of data and analytics.”
